    How can we make make heating systems less energy intensive and more eco-friendly? The compost heating project is designing a system to heat to a campus greenhouse and extend it’s growing season by harnessing the exothermicity of compost.

  • Homework to Artwork

    Fast fashion and mass produced artwork usually ends up in the landfill. Homework to Artwork started as a project to make paper prints out of old homework assignments, and has evolved into other recycled and repurpose artwork and clothing. We sell our products at the Green for Good Markets in SUB!

    How many students drive to school and pay for parking alone? Campus Ride Share is a new initiative that will connect carpooling to campus, help students save money and reduce the carbon footprint of transportation to and from the university (uofacarpool.com)

  • Recycled Plastic Filament

    Is plastic waste actually recycled? Most of it never leaves the landfill. This project aims to repurpose discarded plastic water bottles into filament used for 3D printers. Our goal is to reduce the amount of discarded plastic generated by the UofA, and create a more sustainable campus.
